Pallet System Product Description
The Maylan Pallet Master is designed to provide a Twin Pallet Feature for Vertical Machining Centres and other machines that accept component entry in the horizontal plane. No hydraulic or electrical connections are required by the standard Pallet System, as it is totally manual in operation. Essentially the unit consists of two carriage mounted auxiliary pallets that slide horizontally on a floor-mounted frame and a pallet receiver that is bolted securely to the bed of the machine. An experienced operator is able to change pallets by means of this system and restart machining operations in ten seconds.
Optional equipment if required includes:
a. A sensor to prevent commencement of machining operations unless the pallet is fully locked in place on the receiver.
b. A pneumatic damper that operates during the last few millimetres of pallet entry to avoid the possibility of machine shut-down caused by a potential shock to the machine bed.
c. Micro-switches fitted to the receiver to ensure that the machine is aware of the appropriate machining programme for each pallet. Installation of the Pallet System usually takes around three hours to complete and the equipment is supplied with a twelve months warranty. Currently there are seven standard versions of the Maylan Pallet System and bespoke sizes can be designed to order.
